Sulpicius' Institutiones oratoriae, a late antique introduction to rhetoric, is presented here in a completely new critical edition, which replaces the one edited by Halm in 1853. This new edition of the text is based on a thorough re-examination of the only surviving testimony, the 1521 Basel edition, which reproduces a lost manuscript from the library of the Spyer Cathedral.
