Dr. Birgit Fritz ist Theaterwissenschaftlerin, Übersetzerin und Autorin. Sie lehrt als externe Lektorin u.a. am Institut für Internationale Entwicklung der Universität Wien, dem interdisziplinären Lehrgang für Lateinamerikastudien und dem Universitätslehrgang für Friedensstudien der Universität Innsbruck. Darüber hinaus leitet sie den Grundlehrgang Theater nach Augusto Boal in Wien, der im Herbst 2013 zum zwölften Mal stattfindet. Ihre berufliche Praxis der autopoietischen Theaterarbeit nach Augusto Boal führte sie von Brasilien über Indien nach Kirgisien, sie lebt und arbeitet in unterschiedlichsten Kontexten. Arbeitsschwerpunkte sind autopoietisches Theater, forschendes, somatisches Lernen und sensorisches Denken in transkulturellen Räumen.
